چکیده

A systematic review was performed to compare the human dentin microtensile bond strength of universal adhesives with 10-MDP when used as total-etch and self-etch strategies. Literature search done on October 2019 without limitations language publication, in four databases: PubMed, Web Science, Scopus, EBSCO. Additional manual for grey literature articles: OpenGrey OpenThesis. Studies that evaluated using strategy from year 2000 up till were included. Microtensile bond strength of total-etch and self-etching adhesives to caries-affected dentine.

OBJECTIVES To evaluate the microtensile bond strength of total-etch or self-etch adhesives to caries-affected versus normal dentine, and to correlate these bond strengths with DIAGNOdent laser fluorescence and Knoop microhardness (KH) measurements of the substrates. METHODS Extracted carious human molars were ground to expose flat surfaces where the caries lesion was surrounded by normal dent...

Effect of Airborne Particle Abrasion on Microtensile Bond Strength of Total-Etch Adhesives to Human Dentin

Aim of this study was to investigate a specific airborne particle abrasion pretreatment on dentin and its effects on microtensile bond strengths of four commercial total-etch adhesives. Midcoronal occlusal dentin of extracted human molars was used. Teeth were randomly assigned to 4 groups according to the adhesive system used: OptiBond FL (FL), OptiBond Solo Plus (SO), Prime & Bond (PB), and Ri...

Effects of blood contamination on microtensile bond strength to dentin of three self-etch adhesives.

This study evaluated the effects of blood contamination and decontamination methods during different steps of bonding procedures on the microtensile bond strength of two-step self-etch adhesives to dentin. Sixty extracted human molars were ground flat to expose occlusal dentin. The 60 molars were randomly assigned to three groups, each treated with a different two-step self-etch adhesive: Clear...

Effect of long-term water aging on microtensile bond strength of self-etch adhesives to dentin.

PURPOSE To evaluate the effect of water storage on the microtensile dentin bond strength of one total-etch and four self-etching adhesives to dentin. METHODS The adhesive materials were: one total-etch adhesive (Admira Bond) and four self-etch adhesives (Clearfil S tri Bond, Hybrid Bond, Futurabond NR, Adhe SE). Freshly extracted human third molar teeth were used. For each tooth, dentin was e...

Shear bond strength of self-etch and total-etch bonding systems at different dentin depths.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the dentin shear bond strength of four adhesive systems (Adper Single Bond 2, Adper Prompt L-Pop, Magic Bond DE and Self Etch Bond) in regards to buccal and lingual surfaces and dentin depth. Forty extracted third molars had roots removed and crowns bisected in the mesiodistal direction. The buccal and lingual surfaces were fixed in a PVC/acrylic resin ...
